Plait
A braid logic puzzle: choose where neighbouring strands cross until every ring, count and end disc lights up.
About Plait
Plait is a puzzle game on Playket: a braid logic puzzle: choose where neighbouring strands cross until every ring, count and end disc lights up. It is free to play instantly in your browser — no download and no sign-up — on phone, tablet and desktop.
How to play
Strands start in lanes on the left. Tap a dot between two lanes to cross those strands in that gap; tap again to undo. Crossings in one gap cannot touch, so turning one on turns off its neighbours above and below. Make the braid match every clue: the number above a gap is how many crossings it has, a lettered ring says which strand passes that spot, and the discs on the right say where each strand ends. Each board has exactly one answer. Every board you plait without ANSWER scores 1; END finishes the run. Keyboard: arrows move, Enter or Space toggles, 1–3 picks a level, N new, C clear, R answer, E end.
Tips
- Start from the end discs: a strand can move at most one lane per gap, so far-travelling strands must cross in almost every gap.
- A 0 above a gap means every strand goes straight through it, so the columns either side match.
- A ring fixes one strand's lane at that column, which narrows down the gaps on both sides of it.
